01 Japanese/English Tutoring Services for International Residents

We offer Japanese and English classes for children living overseas. We specialize in providing zero-level English support for children whose first language is not English, as well as strengthening the native language for children with permanent residency. We also provide support for local school grades and career counseling after returning to Japan. Over the past 20 years, we have produced over 5,000 academically accomplished graduates in countries around the world.

 

 Our meticulously planned curriculum is designed to help children have fun, achieve results, and feel a sense of accomplishment. In 2015, we were ranked second in the "Most Effective Teaching Materials" category by Open Ed, America's largest educational resource site with 250,000 members nationwide. All of our English teachers are native English speakers, and are professional instructors who have passed rigorous recruitment exams and training, providing thorough support.

02 For Residents in Japan English on Demand Program

This on-demand program allows students to take authentic American English education programs while in Japan. By completing the beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses, students will acquire English proficiency equivalent to completing second grade at an American school (Eiken Level 5-3). Recommended for ages 3 and up.

 

This program was created by Toru Funatsu, author of "How to Develop English Skills in Children Who Will Succeed Globally." It is a carefully designed curriculum that will help children become highly bilingual while still in Japan. Just 10 minutes a day will help children acquire authentic English skills. It features a variety of original songs that allow children to master phonics and sight words while singing and completing quizzes.

During my student years, I not only completed teaching practicums but also volunteered in after-school programs, kindergartens, elementary and junior high schools. I worked as a private tutor and at cram schools, providing academic and career guidance to more than 1,000 children and students from kindergarten through high school.

After graduation, I worked as a public elementary school teacher and taught at a lifelong learning center, supporting students’ learning and providing academic and mental health support to children who were not attending school. Through these experiences, I have worked with a wide range of children and families across various educational settings.

In addition, drawing on my own transition from a public servant to an entrepreneur, I also support women’s career development as part of my life’s work.

I offer consultations not only on child-rearing and educational guidance but also on career development for mothers, fathers, and other caregivers.

  • Worked for four years in both a lifelong learning educational facility and as a public elementary school teacher.

  • 2007 – Resigned from teaching; became independent and started a business.
  • 2011 – Founded the Japan Preserved Flower Arrangement Association
  • 2013 – Gave birth to a daughter.
  • 2015 – Gave birth to a son; in November, moved to Hawaii for about one year for an educational relocation and later spent 1.5 years raising children in a bilingual environment in Japan.
  • 2016 – Renamed the association; as Representative Director, focused on producing instructors and promoting a flower-inspired lifestyle.
  • 2020 – Started a new business in California, USA.
  • 2021 – Present – Operating a Japanese-English bilingual school in Torrance, California, and online.
